Here’s How Illegal Immigrants Vote in U.S. Elections
The SAVE America Act is returning election integrity to the forefront of America’s domestic news cycle, and for good reason. Our country’s lack of voter ID laws allows illegal immigrants to vote all the time.
The New York Post on Monday published a piece highlighting nearly a dozen arrests of non-citizens accused of casting American political ballots, including some cases where the criminals remained on voter rolls even after their convictions. Pennsylvania stands out as particularly troublesome, as a glitch in the state’s registration program has allegedly allowed approximately 100,000 non-citizens to register to vote.
In one case highlighted by the Post, a Chinese national charged with illegal voting fled to China before he could face justice. In another, a Mauritanian man marked for deportation since 2002 is registered as a Democrat and has voted in every election since 2008, authorities say. He goes by the nickname the “Sacko Scorpion.”
