“Waste of Time”: Trump Says the U.S.-Iran Ceasefire Is Over
Americans desperate for no more war received bad news this morning when Donald Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran “over.”
"For me, I think it's over," Trump said at the NATO summit in Turkey. "As far as I'm concerned it's just a waste of time… "[Our negotiators] can talk, but I think they're wasting their time. [The Iranians are] liars, they're cheats. They're sick people,” he added.
The comments came hours after the U.S. pummeled over 80 Iranian targets with missiles, saying the attacks were retaliation for Tehran's recent strikes on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has already responded by targeting U.S. military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait.
It is too early to tell where this will lead. Could Operation Epic Fury restart? Will the Strait close again? The president must do everything he can to ensure the answers are no. The U.S. was just starting to recover from the initial damage of this globalist war. Diving back in would not help Make America Great Again.
