Senate Blocks America Last “Defense” Bill

This story is good news for Americans who care about their country’s sovereignty.

The Senate blocked a motion to advance the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act on Tuesday, rejecting the bill 50-46. NDAAs typically have little trouble getting through Congress, making yesterday’s vote a rare check on the military-industrial complex’s typically dictatorial rule over Washington. The behemoth legislation includes a provision to merge the U.S. and Israeli military machines, which is one of the most America Last ideas we have ever heard. One X user remarked on Tuesday that our Founders would have hunted down any politician who voted in favor of the policy. That is likely true.

Chuck Schumer wrote on Monday that the NDAA would “shortchange families, prolong a war, and shield corruption.” We are no fans of the New York senator, but those words unquestionably ring true. Voters should call their representatives to continue to apply pressure to make sure this bill never becomes law.
